Shaykh Abdul Karim al-Khudair حفظه الله said: The book Al-Muharrar fil Hadith is considered one of the most important books compiled in the Hadith of Ahkam (Fiqhi Rulings)

This book is a compilation of just over 1300 Ahadith Al Ahkam (Hadith regarding Fiqh Rulings) chaptered in the order of Fiqh books - Beginning with Kitab At Taharah and ending with Kitab At Tibb 

He selected Ahadith from a wide range of major hadith works such as The Musnad of Imām Aḥmad, the Ṣaḥīḥs of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, the Sunans of Abū Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhī, An-Nasāʾī and Ibn Mājah, as well as works by Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Ḥibbān, al-Ḥākim, al-Bayhaqī and others 

The Author Muhammad Ibn Abd Al Hadi رحمه الله discussed these ahadith and graded them according to the Manhaj of the early scholars of Hadith 

The Muhaqqiq mentions the primary sources of each hadith ,explains the reason why a hadith might be weak , and also explains some of the difficult words found in some of the Ahadith 

The Muhaqqiq also differed with the author in some of the gradings of the ahadith due to looking into each chain and narrator 

Some of the scholars such as Hafidh Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani - have mentioned that المحرر ( Al Muharrar ) was derived and summarised from الإلمام بأحاديث الأحكام (Al-ilmam bi-Ahadith Al Ahkam) of Ibn Daqiq Al Eid رحمه الله 

Hafidh ibn Hajar Al Asqalani said when speaking about Ibn Abd Al Hadi رحمه الله: 

 المحرر في الحديث، اختصره من الإلمام فجوده جدًا

 “[He authored] Al-Muḥarrar in Hadith. He summarised it from Al-Ilmām and refined it exceptionally well"
